About Me

Hi, I'm Ben Nguyen.

I am a senior studying mechanical engineering at the University of Arizona, and I'm drawn to the process of turning abstract ideas into something real. The ability to shape and affect the physical world is what drew me to mechanical engineering, and I'm especially interested in mechanical design. I want to work with teams that are building things that matter, making the world better, and pushing what's possible.

My interest in engineering started with tinkering and grew into an obsession through high school robotics. I’ve been learning and building ever since, always looking for new problems to take apart, understand, and turn into something tangible.

Outside of Engineering

Club Leader

I was the high school swim captain, lead for every robotics team I've been in since high school and college. I enjoy leading teams and helping others succeed.

Hobbies

I enjoy mountain and road biking, rock climbing, hiking, skiing, or whatever gets me outside.

Nerdy

I enjoy mechanical keyboards, good books, video games, and learning about geology and architecture.

Music

I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, and also playing my own through classical guitar. .
